Meet Our Squadron
We are the Sons of the American Legion (SAL) Ohio Squadron #725 based in Bowling Green, OH. Our squadron membership is comprised exclusively of former Buckeye Boys State counselors whose parents or grandparents served in the United States military.
Each year, we sponsor dozens of high school juniors from all across Ohio to attend the American Legion's Buckeye Boys State and Buckeye Girls State programs during the summer before their senior year. Selected students are able to attend for free thanks to the generous support of our members and community partners.

Note from the 1st Vice Commander
My name is Scott Pinto, and I am the 1st Vice Commander of the Sons of the American Legion Ohio Squadron #725. It's an honor to serve our 50+ members who invest thousands of volunteer hours into the Legion's Americanism programs each year.
All of our members are proud former Buckeye Boys State delegates eager to give back to the next generation of Ohio's leaders.
On behalf of our entire squadron of former Buckeye Boys State delegates, we want to pay it forward by sponsoring your high school junior to attend Buckeye Boys State or Buckeye Girls State for free. Please reach out to me at recruitment@ohiosal725.org or recommend a student using our recommendation form.
